Now it’s official !

A few minutes ago I received an email from a Venezuelan friend, telling me that it has been published in the Official Gazette of Venezuela (No 39.109  of 29 January 2009) a decree defining the ODF as the official and mandatory format for editable to be used by all public institutions in Venezuela.

Now we are three countries in Latin America that have adopted the ODF and soon we’ll have more news down here

I hope that before the middle of this year, South America will become the “ODF continent”, for having the largest percentage of countries that adopted the standard.
